What the store needed

  • The store was slow, with a Largest Contentful Paint of about 14 seconds on key pages.
  • They wanted a faster store without adding another speed app.
  • Search engines needed clearer structured data.
The work

What I did

  1. Optimized the homepage, collection pages and product pages manually, without a speed app.
  2. Reduced Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) from about 14 seconds to about 3 seconds.
  3. Worked on the Speed Index; third-party apps and web pixels were the main remaining factor.
  4. Added schema markup: business (Organization), Product, FAQ and BreadcrumbList structured data.
