What the store needed
The merchant needed checkout features rebuilt with Shopify checkout extensibility. The brief covered both the checkout interface and the rules behind discounts, delivery and payment options, including local pickup.
- Move checkout features to Shopify checkout extensibility, including checkout and post-purchase interfaces.
- Support order, product and shipping discounts as distinct discount types.
- Apply custom rules to delivery options, payment options and local pickup, with cart and checkout validation.
What I did
- I built Checkout UI extensions and a post-purchase UI for the customer-facing parts of the work.
- I built Shopify Functions for order, product and shipping discounts, covering the three discount types in the brief.
- I set up a Web Pixel integration for checkout tracking and added cart and checkout validation.
- I customized delivery, fulfillment and payment options, including local pickup.
Delivered scope
The delivered checkout work combined UI and post-purchase extensions, discount Functions, Web Pixel integration, cart and checkout validation, and delivery and payment customizations, including local pickup.
