Framely: Print & Frame product customizer and site design revamp
In short
- Client: Framely, a custom framing and canvas print store in Australia, named with permission.
- What I did: built Print & Frame, a custom app product customizer where shoppers upload a photo, pick size, finish and frame, and see a live preview and price, and implemented the full website design revamp.
- Platform: Shopify. The customizer is added to the Liquid theme and connected to metafields and metaobjects.
- Outcome: a year on, the custom canvas print builder is still a top sales driver.

- Ongoing Shopify theme updates
What I did
- 01
Print & Frame customizer
A custom app product customizer where shoppers upload a photo, pick size, finish and frame, and see a live preview and price.
- 02
Built into the theme
The customizer is added directly to the store's Liquid theme and connected to Shopify metafields and metaobjects, so the store team can manage options without touching code.
- 03
About 5 weeks
The customizer took about 5 weeks, because of the large number of variants that had to be set up.
- 04
Site design revamp
I implemented the full website design revamp.
- 05
Ongoing theme updates
Shopify theme updates after launch.
